01 · Making

How this piece
was made.

Every Mirbreak sculpture moves through the same four stages — from digital geometry to handcut light.
STEP · I · DESIGN GRASSHOPPER
STEP · I

Geometric form.

Every figure begins as a mathematical question.

The silhouette is deconstructed into a modular geometric primitive — designed in Rhino using Grasshopper for parametric control. Each triangular face is calculated to produce specific mirror angles when assembled, so that the final reflection pattern is not random but precisely composed.

STEP · II · FABRICATION 3D PRINTING · PLA
STEP · II

Digital fabrication.

The machine executes; the design was already made.

The body is 3D-printed in PLA — layer by layer, face by face. The geometry is precise enough that each surface arrives flat and ready for tiling. No sanding, no correction. The digital model and the physical form are identical.

STEP · III · AYENEH-KARI AYENEH-KARI · HAND
STEP · III

Hand-cut mirrors.

The ancient craft applied to a contemporary body.

Ayeneh-Kari — the Persian art of mirror-mosaic — is applied one tile at a time. Each piece of glass mirror is hand-scored and cut to fit the triangular faces exactly. No two tiles catch the light at the same angle. The room becomes part of the sculpture.

STEP · IV · FINISHED FORM
STEP · IV

Living object.

It never looks the same twice — it is always different.

When the final tile is set, the work is complete — but the piece is not static. Every movement in the room, every shift in light, every change of angle produces a new reflection. The sculpture is not a fixed image. It is a living fragment of its environment, made to be different every time you look.

02 · Ownership

Care, shipping
& guarantee.

These objects are made to be inherited. Here is how to treat them.
Care & maintenance
Handle with care.

Clean with a soft, dry cloth — never wet. Keep away from direct sunlight for extended periods to protect the adhesive. The glass mirror is fragile; treat this object as what it is: a precision craft piece, not a display ornament.

Do not place in areas of high humidity or temperature fluctuation.

Shipping
Packed precisely.

Each piece ships from Leeuwarden, Netherlands, in a custom-fitted box with foam inlays cut to the sculpture's geometry. Shipping is arranged per piece.

Worldwide delivery available — contact for rates. Tracking provided for all shipments. Insurance included. Delivery in 3–5 business days (NL), 7–14 days (international).

Guarantee
Made to last.

Every Mirbreak sculpture is signed, catalogued, and comes with a certificate of authenticity confirming its edition status. The piece is designed for longevity — PLA and glass mirror do not degrade under normal indoor conditions.

If a tile is damaged in transit, contact within 7 days and it will be repaired or replaced.
