Think in
triangles. Bring in the light. Reach meaning through forms.

These figures are reflections of ourselves and our surroundings. Hand-cut mirrored tiles are mounted on modular 3D-printed bodies using the centuries-old Ayeneh-Kari technique — each face captures a triangular fragment of reality, shifting with the viewer's point of view.

The same modular logic, running as software. A procedural builder for snapping polyhedra face to face — tetrahedra, Johnson solids, prisms and cupolas — setting height and rotation, then exporting the form you grow.

Four chapters

Every Mirbreak sculpture moves through the same four stages — from a fixed modular logic into something organic, mirrored, and alive.
CH · I · CONCEPT Concept diagram
CHAPTER · 01

Intersection of geometry, growth & reflection.

Sacred architecture, Axial-Age philosophy, digital logic — collided.

Mirrored modular sculptures are created at the intersection of geometric abstract art and growth, order and individuality.

Inspired by Axial-Age philosophies, sacred architecture, and digital logic, repeated geometric forms are transformed into hybrid organisms; each sculpture conceived as a relic of algorithmic thought and a reflection of natural complexity.

CH · II · FORMATION Mirbreak bird anatomy — formation process
CHAPTER · 02

From modular genesis to organic emergence.

Tetrahedrons. Pyramids. Dodecahedrons. Then everything they can become.

Each piece is initiated from a precise modular framework, composed of geometric units — tetrahedrons, pyramids, and dodecahedrons. These elemental shapes serve as the foundation, adhering to a fixed structural logic.

Through deliberate variation in orientation, connection, and scale, the modules evolve into branching, multi-directional formations — mimicking the organic logic of roots, mycelial networks, or crystalline growth. Rigid repetition becomes dynamic multiplicity: order as the seed of individuality.

CH · III · MATERIAL Material philosophy — mirrored modular sculpture
CHAPTER · 03

Duality of medium and perception.

Recycled plastic. Cut mirror. Black marble. Metal. A surface that is also a window.

Materials such as recycled 3D-printed plastic, mirrored glass, black marble, and metal are selected to embody this duality.

Mirrored surfaces reflect and fragment the surrounding environment, drawing viewers into a recursive experience. These works are not static objects — they are dynamic interfaces, living systems shaped by light, space, and perception.

CH · IV · FUNCTION Geometric abstract mirror lamp — functionality
CHAPTER · 04

Collapsing the line between design & art.

Mirror lamps. Modular structures. Architectural relics, future and ancient.

Many sculptures are designed to straddle the line between art and function: mirrored lamps and modular structures are assembled to suggest architectural remnants or future relics.

Through this fusion of form and function, the boundary between design and art is collapsed — resulting in objects that feel both ancient and futuristic.

About Soboof

A small studio for mirrored modular sculpture, Ayeneh-Kari technique, and the geometry that holds them together.

Soboof is the studio behind Mirbreak — mirrored modular sculptures built from 3D-printed geometric bodies and hand-cut mirror tile.

The work sits at the intersection of sacred architecture, algorithmic geometry, and craft. A single modular logic — tetrahedron, pyramid, dodecahedron — is repeated, varied, and pushed until it becomes organic: a bird, a fox, a relic.

Surfaces are hand-finished in the Ayeneh-Kari tradition — a centuries-old Persian technique of mirror inlay used in palaces and shrines. Each triangular shard captures a fragment of reality, so the piece changes with every viewer.

Soboof also runs workshops on modular thinking and mirror craft, and takes commissions for one-of-a-kind pieces and interior installations.
